Had paid for a deluxe room. Didn't get a room on the view side of hotel. Room was full of furniture, beds to close together, large chairs that were hard to get around. Bathroom is in need of remodeling. Had heated towel rack but the towels were so thin there was nothing to heat up. Location is good on the... more

Very clean and beautiful. I would highly recommend this place and it was worth every penny. We enjoyed hiking around the many paths around the resort. The breakfast that was included with our package was excellent - either an excellent buffet or made to order - both were great. I wished that we had stayed here more time than we... more

Hotel was good, very nice setting but the pool and hot tub ROCKED. Beds are good, rooms rather small and Internet works on and off but hey its free. more

Due to a delayed flight, we arrived at the resort just minutes before its kitchen was closed (we were told that almost everything was closed by 11pm in that small town). The front desk guy was kind enough to help us order some food while their kitchen was closing down. Our room was on the third floor, hard to tell... more

We stayed at the Alyeska Resort for two nights in July, 2009. This was the only hotel that we stayed in during our two weeks in Alaska, the rest of the time we stayed in B&B’s. This hotel is truthfully one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The entire facility is very clean and the staff are... more

We had to consistently ask for towels, the housekeeping would never leave small towels. The rooms would not get clean unless we asked them. We stayed from August 1-August 7, 2009. We had to move out one room on the third day to another room. We had to do the move ourselves--no bellhop. The people was nice but the service... more

We rented a car, drove all over Alaska for 3 weeks and this was our most pleasurable stay. Everything in room has class and style but not stuffy. Nice glassware and coffee cups, elegant ice bucket, lighted makeup mirror, robe and slippers, towel warmer, small fridge, plush bedding. Tram to the mountaintop for beautiful views, hiking, hang gliding, gourmet dinner... more

I booked this hotel a year in advance to get the best rooms. I called in April to verify our reservation and was told that they could not find it. After some searching they found our payment and assured us that everything was ok. A week before arriving I called again to verify our junior suite and connecting deluxe room... more

We enjoyed our stay at the Alyeska. The room was comfortable, quiet, but not spectacular. Hiked up the ski hill and took the tram down. A nice visit that I imagine would be even better in the winter when skiing is available. Ate up at the 7 Glaciers restaurant - great view! more

We needed to find a place in Alaska to be our base for day trips and day cruises, and since our targets were the ports of Whittier and Seward, Girdwood sounded like the perfect compromise. Some 30-45 minutes from the ANC airport, it was good enough for not having to get up too early for the morning flight back. The... more
