The hotel is simple but comfortable. The rooms are good sized and clean. The lobby is bright and the fireplace is pretty and surrounded by comfortable furniture. The bar food is good as is the seafood buffet. Hotel is close to the airport and has a complimentary shuttle. It's also walking distance to both grocery stores. Flexible about length of... More

Considering you are on an island in the north Pacific 800 miles from anywhere the hotel is excellent. The staff was friendly and the room was clean but the decor was dated with 90's style furnishings and TV's. Internet access was expensive and not worth the price. Some cell services didn't work but AT&T did.

This hotel is overstated in my opinion. It is dated, furnishings are old, in some areas the smell overpowers one. Costly! I'd expect to pay Hotel 6 prices and even some Hotel 6 are cleaner and nicer.

Well, there are basically two options here..and this is the better of the two by far. Beds are more comfortable, rooms cleaner, quieter and way better smelling!

I was there with my family. We had such a great time at the hotel. All the staff is courteous and family friendly. The hotel has these new beds that have a memory foam pillow-top to them. I can toss-and-turn all night and my wife never felt a thing. I had meetings for two days and when I returned, the... More

Unalaska is a remote place. Having a large, full service hotel is an impressive feat. Going in expecting 4 stars in this unique location to be identical to a four star experience in the lower 48 will yield disappointment. Don't expect recent remodeling, matching decor, new carpets, pristine drywall, granite countertops, or a paved parking lot. In addition, this is... More

This was an exceptional hotel in a less than exceptional spot. Rooms were clean, bed comfortable, in room coffee not great. Ethernet connections broken, can get wireless for $12 - $13 bucks per day. Halls and hotel in clean and in pretty good shape. Bar is good and waitress are very nice. Not rowdy. Sunday brunch is outstanding, it draws... More

I worked on the island as a seafood processor for a couple of years. One night I had to check it out.The hotel always stood out from everything else on the island. It's BIG and brightly colored... easy to see in even the worst snow storms. The ceiling in the lobby is very tall with a stone fireplace near the front desk and... Nice hotel, comfortable, well located. The restaurant and bar are also great hang out spots. Clean and appealing.

When The Grand Aleutain first opened it was a treat to stay there. Now when reading the reviews you do not see one good review prior to 2007. Even the review in 2007 still dishes the restaurant and tells you to go elsewhere. Now the carpets are worn, the bedding - you have to check to make sure you have... More
