For Cordova, this is probably as nice as it gets. As a previous reviewer said, if you adjust your expectations and don't expect to have a nice, quiet, clean, or modern accommodation here, then you should be satisfied. I was stuck in one of the 3 or four rooms bordering the parking lot. Tip- if you do stay here, INSIST... More

We are very sorry you did not enjoy your stay. We do have 4 room categories, each with a different rate. You stayed in our least expensive room. it is near the parking lot and in the older section of the hotel. We have upgraded windows and drapes to try to minimize the noise, but when the parking lot is... More

I have stayed here 5 or 6 times in the last year. Cordova is amazing and the view out of the rooms that overlook the harbor are worth the extra $ IF you plan to be in your room, if not don't bother. free wi fi... very simple breakfast buffet, but at least there is coffee and some snacks. It... More

Our room wasn't bad and fit us decently well for our needs. We stayed in probably the cheapest room they had. There was very little shower space and it was short as well, I think taller guests would have problems. Our view was of the parking lot, I am sure the rooms with the harbor view and/or upstairs were much... More

My stay at the Reluctant Fisherman wasn't too bad. The room had a great view and comfortable beds. The chairs were uncomfortable, but didn't require much use as the WiFi didn't work (unless the door was wide open). The bath room could have been cleaned better. Service was so-so... Booked for three nights and received calls at noon, every day... More

We were here for more nights than anticipated due to bad weather and cancelled ferries. This place has definite pros and cons. Pros: good, comfortable beds, great views from some rooms, some very nice, helpful employees, and a good restaurant next door. Cons: some not-so helpful staff, no internet in rooms (they say they do, but they don't - everyone... More

My wife and I live in Alaska on the Kenai Peninsula and typically work 24/7 during the summer months. We (she) decided we needed to get the heck out of town for a weekend. We chose the Reluctant Fisherman Inn and were not let down. We felt totally relaxed while there and enjoyed the harbor activity right in front of... More

Spent the weekend in Cordova bicycling and enjoying the incredible scenery. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly, and the price was competitive with other options in the area. I'll recommend to others and stay there if I visit Cordova again. The fast ferry "Chenega" is a terrific way to get to Cordova, a great experience. Thanks to the Alaska... More

Nice view but gees the carpets were really dirty. Room smelled. I realize that Cordova has limited accomodations, but it does not stop the hotel from being basically clean. I would be RELUCTANT to stay here again. Hope Cordova has better B&B's cause if this is the best they can come up with.....well, I will skip Cordova next time. If... More

Stayed 5 nights at the Reluctant Fisherman Inn, which has recently been renovated. The harbor view room was large, very clean and the views of the fishing boats in the harobr amazing. Beds very comfortable and free wifi was great! However, you could visit this little inn, just to experience the food in their restaurant ... usually not fond of... More

Considering that we were going to a place that can only be reached by plane or ferry, our expectations were low, but we were okay with that. Therefore, we were quite surprised by the quality of the beds, sheets, comforters and towels. All were of excellent quality and made sleeping and bathing a total joy. Granted the inn isn't much...
