Before you read any further, I want to make it clear that I have nothing against the French. This place is owned and operated by French people. Most of the guests are French people. If you're aren't French, be prepared to feel left out. I noticed that the owners greeted the French visitors much more warmly and would sit down... more

My wife and I stayed here on a trip to French Polynesia where we also stayed at two 5 star hotels, the Sofitel Moorea and the Hilton Bora Bora. While Raiatea lodge cannot compare in terms of luxury to the other two, it made up for it in so many other ways. For example we were greeted with a lovely... more

Nice settings, great owners welcoming you in charming French way. The rooms overlook the lagoon and have views on Bora Bora. The diner was excellent. Breakfast a little too limited. Our only objection is the noise in the room from the bar and restaurant below... you feel like being with the party all night. more

Afetr 2 weeks on a sailboat we were very happy to see this small (15 rooms) but very nice place. Nicely decorated rooms , an excellent restaurant , a great view. An affordable . The 3 young owners won't spare their efforts to make your stay an excellent one : highly recommended. more

We have just returned from 2 weeks in Tahiti and her islands. I felt compelled to write a review on one of the nicest places I have stayed. We spent the last 4 days and 3 nights of our trip on Raiatea. We were greeted by our Transfer at the airport and taken to the hotel where we were greeted... more

A truly charming and quirky hotel, with wonderful owners and staff. A relaxed French feel and a lovely base for a few days on the island. The hotel will arange airport transfers in their own pick-up truck, they can also arrange car hire - Avis probably the best bet - and it's definitely worth at least one day on your... more

After 3 nights in Moorea, we landed in Raiatea. Very quite and small island. We chose this little lodge to change from the OWB. - The view of the lagoon and the sunset is absolutely fantastic - The owners and staff are very nice and welcoming - Best wifi connection of all the hotels we have visited - Food for... more

Oliver and his wife Karen, along with co-owner and managing partner Eric, are superbly accomodating, offering a wonderful hotel while also providing top notch place customer service, something that can be difficult to find in French Polynesia. This small-medium sized hotel itself is in our opinion, among the best one or two in the less touristy destination of Raitea, which... more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel and loved it! We also went to Huahine and Moorea and none of the places compared to this. Rooms are great! Comfortable bed and bathroom - all seemed newly renovated. Awesome view, all rooms face the lagoon and have a nice balcony. It also has a nice pool and excellent restaurant (food... more

We highly recommend this hotel. We stayed in others on the island, and this one is the best. When we return next April, we will definitely stay at this one. After sailing 5000 miles, we looked forward to a comfortable bed and hot showers. At the Raiatea Lodge we got those basics and much more. The friendly young owners speak... more
