i have been going there for a long time, in 10 years i have stayed 14 times, i went to other hostels, but i keep coming back to tranquilo, its friendly, clean and safe, free internet and breakfast, and very close to everything, and very afordable. also the people are very nice..

I really enjoyed this hostel, each room had its own hammock, a nice one at that, spacious room, spacious porch-good place to hang out. The kitchen was convenient and clean, the bathrooms the same. Close to the beach and the rest of town. Very happy with this stay.

I stayed at this hostel for a total of 4 nights over 2 stays in San Jose and found it to be comfortable, friendly and sociable.
