Having read the reviews on trip advisor our expectations were low when we arrived but were pleasantly suprised by both the customer service we received from the friendly (and mostly bilingual) staff and spacious, clean room. Having requested a room on the top floor when we arrived we escaped the noise from the disco which could clearly be heard from... More

I cannot say it enough, this is the worse hotel in San Jose, I taught myself not to go by reviews here just over price, but I have stayed at better hotels at $10 a night that this one would even compare to!!! The breakfast is pathetic, the rooms are pathetic, and they don't even pay their Satellite bill so... More

After reading my review, you will wonder why and the world did I ever consider staying at this place. I read reviews that suggested it wasn't bad for the price. In my mind, it isn't worth any price. Top ten reasons to go elsewhere: 1. We were in room 556. There was a sewer gas leak that they wouldn't or... More

I booked this hotel because of a discounted price on Expedia. We paid $39 instead of the regular $60. No way would I recommend this hotel at $60 per night, but for $39 per night, I'd say its a decent value. It was only after booking the hotel and being charged in full that I read all the reviews (my... More

I stayed there in October, the rainy season so the price was very low - $40 a night after all fees and taxes. It's a very no-frills place, however, do consider all - you might like this deal a lot. Cons: sleazy and seedy looking public spaces, un-uniformed staff may not speak enough English to answer your questions, you may... More

Wow, I should have paid attention to all the negative reviews. For $70 a night you can stay in nice, quaint, attractive places in San Jose, This is NOT one of them. The rooms are not that bad, but there are MANY drawbacks. A casino on the first floor should be a clue to what to expect after dark --... More

I paid for 2 nights but there was so many cockroaches I left after the first night and they would'nt refund the second night payment. I don't freak at the odd roach but they were on the headboard of the bed! They should have refunded the money but Tico's are not very trustworthy or honest so it's probably to be... More

I was insulted and treated rudely by the staff. That right there nearly ruin my trip to Costa Rica. No way would I recomend this hotel to an American. I believe it was my nationality that was the problem. I have traveled to 30 countries and stayed at many hotels. This was the worst in hospitality.

A friend and I made separate reservations by phone but upon check in they were lost. They accepted only Visa card and proceeded to charge my account with double the expected charges. When I objected they wanted to be prepaid in cash which I did each morning. There was only one employee for the entire desk of the hotel and... More
