The Real InterContinental was the start of our Caravan Tour of Costa Rica. It was clean and beautiful. Many beautiful birds on the well landscaped property. Nice facility, with amenities (several pools, Jacuzzi, spa, excercize room, bar, several restaurants) and a friendly, helpful staff. Located across a pedestrian- unfriendly street (use the elevated walkway) from a modern shopping center. Security-conscious without being too obvious about it. More

The InterContinental is about a 15 minute cab ride from downtown San Jose. It is situated on lovely grounds with a pretty pool. If you need to be downtown it is not that convenient.
