For only $25/night, I got small apartment sized room, with a direct view of the ocean and the National Park. Had its own lounge area overlooking the bluff. 15 minute walk to the ocean beach down the hill. Staff was really helpful in calling a cab after check-out, recommending food in the area and describing other cities in CR.

We were pretty excited about staying at Buena Vista but we became less enthusiastic the longer we stayed. Anita, the proprietor has lived in Costa Rica for decades and had some interesting stories...but wasn't very accessible.
