If you like well kept and clean site in a jungle atmosphere with wildlife murals on the walls, and a troop of monkeys playing in the trees while you't enjoying the pool, this is a unique place. The ten or so best rooms are air conditioned, across the road from the lobby and have their own small outdoor pool. One... More

My husband, I, and our three teenage children stayed at this location for three nights in December 2011. We had adjoining rooms across the street from the lobby. One room was equipped with a kitchenette, which was convenient for a quick breakfast before we headed to the beach or hiking. The rooms were not luxurious, but they were clean. We... More

Our room was dark and damp and very small. The beds were uncomfortable and pillows lumpy. We had to ask for extra towels because nothing would dry and no beach towels were offered when asked. I wouldn't stay here again. More

We stayed in Mono Azul on a family gettway from the city! The hotel is very cute with easy access to everything, the gardens are beautiful. The staff make the place special, very friendly and attentive to ones needs. It made a big difference considering we travel with a small child. In the 4 days we stayed an excellent time,... More

The rooms in the Mono Azul were very nice and cute, although small. The hotel layout was cool, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Above all, the hotel was very cheap-at the level of a hostel-for much nicer, private rooms. Unfortunately, the hotel is pretty far from the main part of Quepos. However, there was a bus that came... The staff at Hotel Mono Azul are the best! They were very patience and helpful to my mother who at times could be pretty difficult at times. Jennifer and Chip (Owners) are super sweet and a pleasure to talk to. The hotel is right in the middle of everything and just a 10min bus ride to the beach and 5... More

I stayed here for 3 nights recently and this was the only place during a 2 week vacation that I didn't like. The staff was rude, the rooms were very outdated and resembled prison cells or zoo cages in the middle of the rainforest. There are no phones in the rooms and the housekeeping was pretty bad with lots of... More

We stayed in a villa on the other side of thet street, where the mono azul mainhouse is located. We had a large and a small bed, a TV, a kitchen which had everything we needed, and warm water in the bathroom. We enjoyed the pool and the privacy we had up there! the breakfast (not included) was delicous(!!!!) and... More

Being that it was my first trip to Costa Rica, I didn't realize that Quepos was pretty far from Manuel Antonio (where pretty much all of the action is happening in that area). We paid $40 a night for a double room which by US standards seems like a bargain but in CR it seemed pricey for the accomodations. At... More
