Five of us had recently booked three Club rooms above the Pearl for three nights at Iguana Lodge. Upon arrival the staff explained that the occupant of the fourth Club room had complained due to a noisy beach party and we were offered the option of a free upgrade to Villa Villa Kula. We loved Villa Villa Kula which is... More

My new husband and I spent a week of our honeymoon at Iguana and coudn't have been happier. The series of casitas and other structures were discreetly obcured by the landscape of old growth trees and front the Pacific Sound. All of the dining and reception areas, yoga platforms and sleeping areas are open air leaving you completely in conjuction... More

Nice, private, intimate location. Staff was friendly. Food was a above average. A tad overpriced in comparison to other locations visited.

Our trip to Costa Rica could not have been better thanks to the Iguana Lodge. We've had some wonderful vacations in the Caribbean and elsewhere, but this one was one of the best. If you want an experience that is private, personal, and allows you to enjoy the local culture and environment, then this place is for you. Hosts/owners Lauren... More

I'll try to keep this brief. If you are looking to really escape, sleep in the trees with the monkeys, do yoga during the day, swim in the ocean at night with bio-luminescent plankton, and spend your time literally at a place where the rain forest backs right up into the ocean, then this is your place...oh the food, unreal.... We were really looking forward to this splurge from the reviews here, and stayed 4 nights, one in a casita and 3 in a club room above the restaurant/ bar. The setting is nice, out of town and on a beautiful beach. The staff is friendly, and we enjoyed their breakfasts- great strong coffee and wonderfully fresh fruit followed by... More

We are sorry to hear that it was less than fabulous. We have been busy this season with lots of weddings, and fun groups. It is definitely true that the jungle is loud at 5 AM - lots of macaws (one of the only areas in Costa Rica and on the Osa where macaws live overhead) and howler monkeys. The... More

Toby and Lauren, the owners, along with their staff have thought of everything to make your stay here just as you wish. Your options each day are yours to decide....do you relax on the deck of your casita, or by the pool, or on the yoga platform that overlooks the ocean or on the beach. Don't be surprised if you... This place is truly a lovely place. Keep in mind that it's NOT for everyone. Read their website so you know what you're getting into. If you are ok with no AC and perhaps sleeping above a restaurant, you won't be disappointed. If you like yoga and latin dance - this is your place! We stayed in the Club Rooms... More

My wife and I stayed at Iguana Lodge the first night of our Costa Rican adventure, and went back frequently to eat at the Pearl of the Osa restaurant, on site. We stayed in the guest rooms above the Pearl, which looked directly out onto a beautiful beach. From the minute we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The room... More

this remote place on the Osa Peninsula is serene, comfortable without glitz. the employees and owners are attentive and wonderful. we have been here twice and will return again to swim, hike and ride. we love the food that they serve so nutritious and mindful. they have two great yoga studios on the property for those yogi and yoginis out...
