Wonderful hotel, great management, beautiful location. It's outside of town, which keeps the noise of the strip away. While only a mile out, you feel like you are in the middle of a jungle paradise. We ate breakfast every morning overlooking the riverbed and garden, and the pool was steps from our door. Juan Carlos was extremely helpful and booked... More

We stayed there for a couple of nights in February. Nice hotel, clean rooms and good management by Juan Carlos. The pool area was nice and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel is a few kilometers outside Jaco, which is no bad thing.

I love this beautiful hotel. Very personal attention...only 10 rooms! Great to plan a family gathering or small wedding...I didn't want to leave, but HAD to see more of Costa Rica. Could have spent the entire trip on the property. Not too big, very romantice had a massage in the hut with my husband listening to the river and the... More

We spent two nights in this idyllic hotel set on the edge of the forest. Very peaceful with a lovely pool. The room was exceptional with balcony and view of the pool, garden and forest beyond. They serve breakfast but no other meals, although the manager will get a range of meals from a choice of several menus in your room... Two of my friends and I stayed at El Paso de Las Lapas this past week and I can honestly say it was one of the best travel experiences I've ever had. The place was beautiful, clean and I cannot say enough about the hospitality on Juan's part. What a lovely place and group of people. We went on day... More

I was on my honeymoon the week of December 4th-10th. After having a fabulous stay at a resort farther south in Costa Rica, I decided that my wife and I would drive part way back to San Jose and so I looked on Trip advisor for a great place in Jaco and found El paso de las Lapas rated the... More

We are sorry about the inconvenience you had when booking at our hotel. First of all I wanted you to know this is the first time something like this happens, we already took proactive actions towards the situation and we even had to replace the employee that was responsible for the error. I want to explain the situation to you... More

Our stay here was amazing from beginning to end. Laura and Flora are incredible hostesses who make you feel like you're at home. Our trip started with a wine toast greeting when we arrived. The accommodations were perfect. The towels were plush, the bedding was top notch and the rooms are very clean. It truly is luxurious. On top of... More

The last 1 km down a pot-holed dirt road made us question our decision to stay here...however once we entered the gated drive way, were greeted by owner Laura all concerns quickly faded away. The grounds and buildings are wonderfully maintained and appointed. Arriving in the height of the rainy season (for a wedding) meant we were the only guests... More

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever visited. Smaller than the typical resort, with only 12 suites, which made it much more relaxing. The rooms are beautiful, clean and all with a large balcony overlooking the pool area. Service is great and the breakfast is very good. There are many attractions in close proximity to this... More
