The positives- they have red eyed tree frogs on the property, theycome out at 5.30 pm, in may. there are nesting montezuma orependulas on the property. i have never been able to observe these birds at such close proximity anywhere else. This is a very basic lodge. There are rustic cabins with rocking chairs on the porches and the grounds are pleasant with trees, flowers and animal life. There is a swimming pool. Good weather certainly enhanced our visit to Laguna Lodge. It takes a rather long boat ride from the dock to get there and when the water in the river is low, even longer, but interesting all the same as you enter the jungle habitat. Breath taking scenery with amazing rainforest tours. We went from sunrise to sunset but never felt rushed. You are made to slow down. There are no TV's/phones and the sun goes down at 6 pm.
