When we were about to fly off to Samay Lagoon Lodge, we found from Thomas Scheytt, an owner, that is was closed but our accomodations in another lodge would be 'just as nice'. Not so. We paid Scheytt almost three times the amount of the rooms (barely adequate) and the fishing guide - no jungle tour. We have filed an... more

I stayed at the Samay Lodge in November 2004 on one of their 2 night Jungle Safari Packages. The lagoon and jungle tours were great. We had a really good local guide who showed us all manner of interesting animals, birds and plants.
