We found Kaya's Place to be a relaxed and comfortable place to stay. It is slightly out of town which we liked and we would walk in - it only took a few minutes. It is rustic and cozy. We would definitely go back! More

I felt like I found a home here. It was just so relaxed and welcoming. I actually left because when I first booked they didn't have availability for my whole stay in PV, but something opened up and I left my second place after simply taking a shower and came back! My first room was small with a bunk bed,... More

JT and the Kaya's Place staff ~ I left Kaya's this morning at 6 am, didn't get a chance to say a proper good-bye to all of you. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in PV. The home-like warmth and welcome of Kaya's Place staff, Franke and the kitchen crew all made my stay at Kaya's Place a pleasurable enjoyment. The... More

Kaya's place is across the street from a truly beautiful beach! It is also within walking distance of town and run by very friendly & helpful people. The hotel itself is beautiful, the upper deck containing many hammocks with views of the ocean. Pros: reliable wireless internet, in-room safe, clean bathrooms with hot water, in-room fans, & friendly staff. One... More

I stayed there for four nights because it was so convenient and had a great time. It is about 100-200 yards from the commotion of the town. It is also right across the street from the beach, so I could leave my valuables in my room and I could quickly get there to relax on the beach after an amazing... More

I stayed two nights at Kaya's Place and really liked it. The architecture is unique and gorgeous, with local hardwood, fresh-cut flowers and colorful paintings everywhere. Loved the second-floor balcony with hammocks overlooking the beach. The rooms were small but well-thought-out; my second-floor double room with private bath had full-size bunk beds with a fan for each, handy shelving and... More

Stayed here at the start of a long trip for four nights and sill regretting not staying longer. We were immediately felt to relax and given great advice on the best things to do in puerto viejo. Rooms are really clean, comfortable an quiet. Use of natural wood and local artists give the place a local feel and make you... More

I'm so glad I chose this hostel - it practically made the trip. Right next to a great beach, close to town, the staff are EXTREMELY friendly and helpful, and it features a bar and great, cheap food. Don't miss this place! More
