Stayed at Cariblue for 4 nights. Got the standard bungalow--no AC / no TV. No TV, no problem. However, no AC is. Very humid area, and I was there in one of the least rainy times of year. Everything you wear gets wet and does not dry out. Even things sitting out in the room picked up alot of moisture.... more

I was traveling around Central America and I met few people that told me about a beach in Costarica, Puerto Viejo, once there I chose to stay at Cariblue hotel, and it was really a good one, I enjoyed it very much, terrific playa, superb garden, last but not least the staff was extremely friendly. Cariblue is def not luxury, but it is clean. The best part is its location. It's walking distance from town but you aren't bothered by town at all. Right across the street is a nice beach. The stay was excellent, very attentive and friendly staff with great care provision. Very good breakfast, facilities in excellent condition and maintenance. Additionally we had the opportunity to look at Security agents which gave us a great relief. more
