Started off really bad as we were given room 1, a really tiny room in the back of the kitchen that was infested with coackroaches... We found 3 huge ones in the shower, the lady at the front desk came and sprayed something on it and more came out... After this misadventure they prepared another room for us which was... More

Good value for money at the beach in the Samara village. Hammocks with the ocean-view, beach access, shared kitchen, coffee in the morning. Clean, well-maintained.

Great location, right on the beach front, next to a surf school. Easy walking distance to both restaurants and bars on the beach and in town. Really pleasant, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are very basic, a room with beds, shelves, a bathroom with toilet, sink and shower but more than sufficient for what we needed. There's a big kitchen,... More

This hotel was great value, right on the beach. Everything you need for a great weekend. Sun, surf, hammock, and a sushi bar next door.

Chilling in a hammock directly at the ocean, in the shadow of big palm trees, walking to a surfschool in 10 seconds, to a supermarket 30 mts. to get a cold beer. Comunal kitchen with a giant fridge. Where else do you have this? The prices of the rooms are really cheap considering this setting! The rooms look a bit... More

We stayed at Casa Valeria for six nights. Wonderful location, beautiful garden with hammock, nice owners, really rude staff. When we came back from breakfast after our first night, we noticed our room was just about to get cleaned; mop and bucket in front of the door. My husband has issues with artifical fragrances, pesticides and harsh cleaning chemicals. So... More

Our stay at Casa Valeria was so enjoyable that after leaving to go Nosara for 2 nights, we came back to Valeria! The cabins are literally steps from the beach. The black guard dog has been replaced by 2 small Lhasa Apso type dogs. The communal (shared) kitchen works very well, & the coffee (delicious) is on all day, free... More

We recently stayed at Valerie's Casa for - in total - four nights. We were in one of the cabins right in front of the beach for two nights before the weekend and in the other beachfront cabin after the weekend (during the weekend the place was fully booked because of some mountainbikerace). The cabins are pretty simple, but okay.... More
