Just returned from Costa Rica and everyone in our party of 6 thought Casa Rural Aroma de Campo was the best! The rooms were lovely (each had a different color theme, some fun details like a sliding barn door to the bathroom or a sink made out of stone, netting over the bed). There was no air conditioning but with... More

Aroma de campo was our first stop in CR. If you are staying here we would recommend a 4x4 - both for the surrounding area and Aroma's own driveway. This is a quaint B&B with eclectic decor and pleasant landscaping. The room was comfortable and wheelchair accessible. Only negative worth mentioning was the ceiling fan sounded like it would wobble... More

My girlfriend and I took a three week birdwatching trip to Costa Rica and Aroma de Campo was our third stop. We found the place quite charming. The food was very good, though a little pricey, and the staff was pleasant and helpful. The rooms are a little rough around the edges, but perfectly functional. The real draw here is... More

Excellent bed and breakfast with cute, clean and comfortable rooms. Beautiful grounds. Dinners were simply amazing. The b&b is conveniently located near the rincon de la vieja national park.

We spend two days here whilst visiting the National Park. It has a great atmosphere, totally relaxed and the owners are both very friendly and knowledgeable about the area; tours and self-guided walks. The evenings spent eating at the large guest table are a good way to make new acquaintances and share stories. Have fun, we did. Steve & Val... More

Great place held by a nice belgian guy, assisted by friendly staff members, two dogs and a parrot! joint dinner at a large table (baby chair available) gives the impression of eating at the family table. It eases contact between the guests. The great food we got was an excellent belgian/costa rican mix. And from now on a recurrent element... More

When the owners are preparing diner and you feel asking what you can do to help, than you know you are in the right place. Tx. Maureen and Charlie.

We stayed in Aroma de Campo half way through our holiday and were very pleasantly surprised with this cosy, friendly B&B in northern Costa Rica. The owners were very layed back, helpful and good company. Because of the one table breakfast and dinner everyone got to know each other and we even spent a whole day in the NP with... More

The two nights my boyfriend and I spent here kicked off our 15 day Costa Rica travels on a good foot. I loved the family style meals (breakfast is great--they offer packed lunches we did not partake in--and dinner, and extra $19/pp, is well worth it), talking with the other travelers. It is just the right size to be relaxing... More

This place is delightful. The setting is quiet and peaceful, yes the pool is natural but we both swam quite happily in it and it's setting is perfect, surrounded by plants and visited by birds. Yes they have a parrot that wakes you up at 6, but in Costa Rica that's a perfect time, and a small boy who sometimes... More
