We had an enjoyable two night stay at the Lodge. Sadly too cold and damp. Rooms are fine but could do with a makeover. However price was fine. Restaurant served good breakfast and dinner

After a beautiful day rafting in the Pacuare River, my husband and I stay at the lodge. Our first impression of the place was an amazing feeling of peacefulness. The nature surrounding is spectacular; the view from the top of the mountain is just WOW! They have a nice path around their property, it's a bit muddy and you need...

I had booked this hotel for two nights on our way to Punta Uva, but our stay was cut short by a cancelled flight. We arrived sans-luggage (thanks TACA!), to a comfortable and clean room (although a bit dated and slightly musty), in a beautiful location. We stayed in a room in the back (caribe) which had large sliding windows...

The morning after I arrived at Hotel Turrialtico I showed up for breakfast holding my mud-filled Keen sandals dangling from one hand. I asked the waitress, Rosa, if there was a place I could use to scrub the mud off. From the expression she gave me I think her first thought was that I wanted her to clean them up....

The lodge itself deserves 5 stars. Very nice rooms, although the walls are indeed very thin. There's like 18 rooms, but there were only 4 guests and they still put us right next to eachother. Not smart.
The staff is very friendly and helpfull. The restaurant is really good. Lots of people stopped by for lunch, also non-guests of the...

The view over the valley and of the volcano are spectacular, and the property definitely has a jungle lodge feel. The staff was incredibly helpful in booking tours and providing information, and just very friendly in general. I would definitely stay there again, especially for the price. The only downside is that it is outside the town of Turrialba so if...

My husband and I stayed here for the first few days of our honeymoon. The restaurant was very good, and was pretty affordable. Although, we do usually share an appetizer, entree and desert. The breakfast provided (that is included in the cost of the hotel) was good - always had fresh fruit, juice, coffee and usually egss with rice and...

A nice hotel overlooking the local city and area. The room was comfortable however the walls could be a little thicker, altough this does add to the character a little. The shower was great and the evening staff, especially, were extremely friendly. It is a little far from turriabla making the restaurant a very convienent place to eat with nice...

My husband and I spent 4 nights at the Turrialtico and were very happy with the accommodations. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and surrounded by a variety of birds. The rooms were decent and definitely worth the price! The restaurant is delicious and I highly recommend the casados! The service in the restaurant was great and the waitresses...

I think my friend and I were the only guests the night we stayed. The waiter/bartender was extremely friendly and helpful. However, I would highly recommend having at least one Spanish speaking person with you if you stay at this lodge. We were kind of disappointed that we did not get to go on the night coffee plantation tour that...
