This place must be fantastic when the weather is too. This is part of a farm, you are in the green, between cows. We read books in front of the fire instead of doing hikes in the surroundings as it was storming awfully outside. Unfortunatelly, we did not have a car, so we were stuck. We stayed three days at the Poas Volcano Lodge in the older rooms, The room was a bit small, but bed was confortable. No Chairs or any Coat hooks in Room to hang your stuff. The Breakfast was really good. Loved the home made foods. Wouls recomend to eat dinner at the cafe just a mile from lodge. More

Poas was enshrouded in clouds but the Poas Volcan Lodge was warm and wonderful. Gorgeously appointed common areas, very comfortable room and bathroom. Complete with heater and humidifier for coping with even the wettest evening (which we definitely had). The food and overall ambience was terrific. More

My son and I spent 18 days in CR. We spent a night at the Lodge, and talked with Michael, the owner about his travels in Central America, and CR. I wish we could have stayed longer. Next time we will. Staff very helpful, and friendly. More
