As I understand it, the rancher who owns the finca on which Termales del Bosque sits, built the hot springs spa first, then horseback riding, then the hotel. Overall, it's a wonderful location. Our tour group of 13 stopped by for 3 nights in March 2012. The rooms are sparsely furnished but clean. Working the hot water in the shower took some instruction. The hotel rooms are uninspired and don't eat dinner there, but the springs are great. We went in the evening and again in the morning.
