This place is amazing. However there are 2 things I really disliked. 1. We rented a 6 people bungalow. It was nice and confortable. However, inmediatly after our check in we went to bed and at the time we grasped a pillow.. we found a lot of hair on it. None of us had used the bed ... We asked... More

The place is gorgeous with wonderful thermal pools to relax in. The restaraunt was lovely and saw to all our needs. The place was very peaceful and had many staff members to help you out. The pools were gorgeous with much wild life to enjoy while soaking in the healing waters in the jungle. We had a massage and it... More

As I understand it, the rancher who owns the finca on which Termales del Bosque sits, built the hot springs spa first, then horseback riding, then the hotel. Overall, it's a wonderful location. In the early morning, we went birding on the little road down to the hot springs. Saw so many wonderful birds which also come onto the hotel... More

Termales Del Bosque is a lovely relaxing place to stay. It has natural hot springs that allow you to spend the day and or evening going from pool to pool, depending on how hot you'd like your experience to be. There is a lovely outdoor bar that happily will bring your drinks to you as you relax in the hot... More

Note this hotel is not especially close to Arenal National Park. It takes between 1 and 2 hours to drive there depending on route taken! The hotel room was good. Our (sparsely furnished) room had 2 comfortable beds and was clean. There was good Air Conditioning. The hotel rooms were in a nicely landscaped area. The first night we arrived... More

I stayed here for two nights before travelling on to la fortuna. We drove a rental from the airport which is about a 2.5 hours on twisty, hillly roads. I am so glad we made this a stopping point before heading on to la fortuna which is an hour away. This is a motel and hotsprings used by locals mainly.... More

Our tour group of 13 stopped by for 3 nights in March 2012. The rooms are sparsely furnished but clean. Working the hot water in the shower took some instruction. That aside we found the food adequate (buffet style) and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Wine was $3 and beer was $2. Beautiful open sided restaurant. You can horseback... More

The hotel rooms are uninspired and don't eat dinner there, but the springs are great. We went in the evening and again in the morning. Very secluded and beautiful and you can have a drink while in the springs. Pools separated by temperature and a long, nice walk (wear shoes) through the jungle to get there. Nothing much else around... More

Found the hotel/spa when searching for lodging in La Fortuna which ends up being an hour away. This hotel lies in the farmlands about 5-miles from Ciudad Quesada. This hot spring/spa is not commercialized like other locations, it is truly a relaxing serene place where Ticos go to relax. I think because it is not located near a tourist site... More

The rate seemed a little high, but when we left, I felt like they were severely undercharging. The meals that were included, breakfast and dinner, were AWESOME and genuine. The people in the restaurant really take pride in the quality of the food and service. We left each meal full. These were authentic local meals and that alone was worth... More
