Great place to stay near the airport. Clean room and friendly staff, breakfast was great!
We stayed here after flying into San Jose. This place is like a nice hostel with private (or shared- depending on your budget) rooms. The place is fairly inexpensive and minimal. What I loved the most was the breakfast that is included- a typical Tico breakfast with rice, beans, eggs and coffee or hot chocolate. This place is not fancy,...

This affordable hotel is a great place from which to explore the central valley and to arrive or leave from the airport. Very clean, well maintained, and friendly service. Breakfast on the patio included. Alajuela is a joy to walk around and safe in the evenings. And the coffee...... uh I love Costa Rica!
Why go all the way into San Jose when you can stay here? We had a very positive experience with each of our three stays at Mi Tierra. The price is right, the location is ideal, and the people are great. Alajuela has a lot to offer too.
Perfect location near the centre of town, very good service. Nice small garden. Close to the airport.
I and my girlfriend like very much this hotel because its cheap and very closed to the center of alajuela and san jose airport.its not luxury but ideal for short time stay.we take with them 1 day tour to poas volcano which was excellent.the swimming pool is small..the breakfast is good and included in the price
This hotel was clean and quiet, with friendly staff who are very helpful. It's laid back and feels like home. The breakfast is great. Close to Poas Volcano, La Paz waterfall gardens. Would definitely go back.
Hotel Mi Tierra was an excellent central starting and ending point for exploring Costa Rica. It is less than 10 minutes from the airport and a taxi should not cost more than $8.00 USD from the airport. The hotel service speaks very good English and Ivannia Chaves was a tremendous help with offering budget, middlepoint and pricier transport, tour and...

It was very basic room The bathroom was nasty, a note asked that you not flush your paper, we traveled all over CR and no one had asked us to do this. The shower head fell off when we...

They spoke English and helped us arrange our travel to our next destination, as well as recommended tours and places to eat. We had great conversations...
