If you're coming to Tuscaloosa, it probably has something to do with the University. If you've been here often none of this is new. If you're visiting with a prospective student, read on. Tuscaloosa does not have any higher end hotels. This is as nice as it gets. Generally speaking, you'll choose either by location or because of a points... More

We just spent the week-end at this hotel. It is by far the best location for attending events on the campus. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating; however, the room needs a major face lift, especially the bathroom. And the noise level echoes throughout the halls. Both nights we were awakened by guests down the hall. Even after... More

I will start off by saying nice Location. Walking distance to stadium, and the only Hotel on campus. The lobby was interesting, and as others said it changes as you go up. This hotel is in need of a facelift! Our room seemed clean, but the ceiling had major water damage, there were actual pieces missing from the popcorn ceiling.... More

I stayed at this hotel for a business trip and I wish I was placed in another hotel. This was my first visit to Alabama and I didnt enjoy the trip. We were placed in a room that had fumes and smell of every nature. The fumes were so strong that it made the inside of my nose raw. I... More

The location is the big deal here---the nearest to the University of Alabama campus. The decor is dated and the room furnishings are a bit shop worn, but it is clean and the staff is very accommodating. It is very comfortable. It is adjacent to the Bryant Museum and the Bryant Conference Center. No rooms available during game weekends and... More

I agree with some of the other reviewers who have criticized this hotel. The lobby was deceptively attractive, suggesting a classy place. By the time you get to the room, however, you realize that appearances are deceiving. The elevators are slow as molasses. The hallways are plagued with horrible carpeting. The room itself was mediocre. The bed was nice enough,... More

The room looked nice and the bed was comfortable, but the bubble soon burst as we realized we could (and would) practically hear what the women in the next room were thinking and certainly could hear most of what they were thinking because they said it all - late into the night and again early in the morning. The pressure... More

I have been staying at Hotel Capstone on a regular basis over the last year or so. The number of changes and improvements that have been made over the last several months is amazing. The Legends restaurant has a fabulous new menu with so many great options. The same great food can be delivered to your room as well. The... More
