Pleasantly surprised at how nice this inn was. Stayed here as a stopover for one night- clean rooms w/ a very comfortable bed and nice pillows. The inn looks new and was really nice. There was a great array of food available for the continental breakfast. Would definitely stay here if I found myself in town again.

Our room had five lamps and good lighting in the foyer and the bathroom - much better lighting than what we usually see in hotels. The bed had a nice assortment of pillows - not all super stuffed like we normally find. When you first sit on one of the beds, you might say "uh oh!" because it seems to... More

Stayed for 3 nights. Overall was happy. rooms clean, spacious, refrig/micro and staff was friendly. Good hotels in Tuscaloosa are very limited. Most everything is budget. The Ambassador is a nice new addition. However, they are a new mini chain, and they need to focus. Here are my suggestions for improvement. 1) Business center. Ok, there is one computer. That's... I have stayed here every year since they opened. The room is always clean the staff is friendly. Since there is no bar or restaurant on site, it is a nice, quiet place to rest. However the are many restaurants close by (every thing from McDonalds to Lone Star). I have stayed in some high end hotels in Tuscaloosa, but... More

The hotel is very well kept. The bedding, carpet and rooms in general are just fine. Internet CAT5 in every room it appears, WIFI is present, but I use a cable most of the time. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was there for those who want it. If you are sensitive to perfumes, you may want to seek a room elsewhere.... More

We were there for graduation on 5 August 2011. The hotel was clean, but way overpriced for a two star hotel. The breakfast room was tiny and choices sparse. It was extremely quiet which is a real plus.

Both of my daughters attend the University of Alabama, so we travel there several times each year. We found this hotel in 2009 when our other regular hotel was booked up. This one is much more convenient on game day, because you don't have to deal with the traffic on McFarland Blvd. It's also more convenient to the Tutwiler/Sorority Row/Stadium... More

This is a relatively new property and thus very clean and comfortable. My feeling is that you need to stay in the near future because it will be less than comfortable in the near future. The room was nice as was the bed. Everything was in order and clean. The amenities, however were minimal. There was one packet of shampoo,... More

On our return trip home from Gatlinbug, we had picked up a travel guide and found a coupon for this hotel. We called to see if there were any rooms available and was told there were two. The person offered to hold the room for us as we were still about three hours away. It was about a half mile... More
