This is a 'Wendy Wu' Hotel and had to suit their budget but it would've been great to start the China tour in more lavish surroundings. Good clean, comfortable room. Breakfast - good range of western and Chinese food, but hot food was luke warm. Coffee good. Smoke everywhere, even on 'non smoking' floors. Gym OK but no towels or wipe downs for equipment used. Room overlooking school playground - fascinating to witness outdoor assembly and army training at dawn (not at the same time)!

A nice, modern, multi-storey hotel with spectacular urban views from the upper floors. Staff are pleasant, polite and helpful, although few speak English.
