The location and the Scenery is Fantastic. Food so so, but many restaruants about. Nanjing Rd is just down the road. Beds are not comfy at all, they need to buy new attresses. Do not get a room with out a window, would not be worth it. Lots and Lots and Lots of people in that area.

Location is really really good not only because of the stunning river view at day and night(I recommand you pay a little more and upgrade to river view or as they say in the hotel scenary view) but because it is close (maximum 10 minutes walk) to a lot of restaurants, bars and a couple of very high class discoteques.make sure... The location of the hotel is excellent and I can't imagine you could find better views of Pudong and the Bund. The river view rooms have stunning views at a reasonable price. We paid 612 RMB including tax for a good sized bedroom which was comfortably furnished and bathroom . Staff spoke english and were helpful.Didn't eat at the restaurant... More

I spent 2 nights there. The hotel has a great view of the Huangpu river and Pudong area. Of course you have to book a river view room which costs a little more. Remember that all the lightings of the buildings and towers which make the beautiful view become off at 23:00, so take care of the photography before that... More

The hotel has an impressive lobby but the rooms show their age a little. Location is good next to the bund but at the same not in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Nanjing Road. Breakfast is acceptable although some more options would be nice...

Location and the view are beautifull !!! (room with river view) the room was clean but just normal, no wifi, and the computer doesn't work... so, if you have a good price don't hesitate, it's ok !! ( average 500/600 yen per night/room) if it's more expensive...don't go. little tips : for a romantic dinner go to the hotel restaurant... More

If you want to stay in a modern six star hotel, pay a lot of money, and not have easy access to Shanghai then don't stay here. But if you want the best views of the river, The Bund, and the amazing architecture viewed from your room or from restaurant terrace where large bottles of beer are barely $2 this... More

I have NO idea who wrote most of the reviews here that led me to book this place. I'm not a fancy high maintenance person. I've backpacked around half the world. I also know what a 4 star hotel rating means, and this one is total BS. I do not exaggerate when I say the bed was equivalent to a... More

I checked in that hotel on the 28th June 2011 and left on the 29th June 2011. At 9.00 am, I went for breakfast at 9.00 am. Thought it was safe, I left my locked luggage and locked backpack in the room. At 9.20 am I went back to the room. Everything seemed normal. After making sure nothing was left... More

The location of the hotel is ideal and the lobby looks great, unfortunately there is a weird smell and the carpet is massively dirty and stained with what looks like cigaret ashes. Also, beware of mosquitos if you stay in a room facing the river. I walked in to my room and found the window open and more than a... More
