Check in was a breeze. Room was newly redone and everything was very clean and nice. Staff was excellent and very helpful. I booked the cheapest room available through a travel agent, and when I asked for the price for upgrade, she said paid RMB 100 +15% and showed me both room. I had about 36 hours in Shanghai for an airline layover recently and stayed at this property using Marriott Rewards points. It was a great value at only 10,000 points for a night, especially as a Marriott Platinum. They couldn't' find my last minute booking, then the manager came over and help me out. Then they found it and apologized for the waiting then they upgrade our room. The room was huge, and the bed was very comfortable. It's so close to the magnilev train station by taxi.

I didn't give it 5 stars as it isn't a Ritz,but it was very, very nice. We were on the 27th floor and use of Club level privledge. I travelled here on business and got a room before the prices went up due to a major exhibition. Service was excellent and the staff were all able to speak English to a cetrain degree which makes it easier for foreign guests to communicate.

The property is new so everything is wonderful. It is close to the subway so easy to get anywhere. Great views of the city. Amazing breakfast buffet. Try and get it inluded in your room cost because it is a little expensive. Great service and I would stay here again.
