I stayed in the luxury room (240 yuan with hostel membership card), which was very spacious with the livingroom area with couch. Bathroom was clean and very modern. AC, A big plant which I liked the most, writing desk, hair dryer, tea pot, etc. They seemed to clean the room everyday, and provided one small roll of toilet paper a... More

OK, I woudln't say every rooms are like this. But I tell you avoid 202. Terribly smelling, the outside is noisy and also charcoal cooking on the streeet so leaving the windows opened is either not a viable option. In the night, you can hear the rats scrawling over the ceiling. I want to know wtf is in the owner's... More

It’s been awhile since I’m last this satisfied with a hostel in China. After having tried quite a few other budget accommodations in some other Chinese cities, Mingtown is indeed a treasured find. Located right smack in the heart of the city, just behind the happening Nanjing pedestrian walk and MRT station, you wouldn’t experience much issue with getting food,... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. It's only a 2 minute walk from subway station and nanjing pedestrian street. If you walk for another 15 minutes you will reach the bund. The private ensuite rooms are clean and spacious. Nice bathroom with hair dryer attached on the wall. Hard beds and no tv. There are 5 floors. On the main floor... More

Taxis may find it difficult to find this place. Ask them to take you to Nanjing Hotel at Nanjing Road and this hostel is opposite this hotel. Room is clean and location is fantastic. Double room ensuite cost only 160 Yuan. Just take Line 2 subway from airport and it goes all the way to Nanjing East Rd for only... More

The main advantage of this hostel is the location, right off the Nanjing road and its proximity to the Metro. It is somewhat difficult to find this hostel but managable with a map. I guess that this hostel is popular among the foreigners since we asked the location of this hostel to quite a few and mostly all knew. The... More

Minimal steps out of the metro from line 2 for those of you with heavy luggage and the hostel has a lift as well! I stayed in a twin room, styled with Ikea furnishings. Everything was clean and looked pretty new. The staff speak excellent English at reception and are very friendly plus helpful. This is one of the best... More

The location of this hostel is AMAZING, just off Nanjing rd and close to the Bund. Lots of places to eat nearby. its a fairly new hostel, lots of places to socialize with other travelers and cheap beer. The dorms are very crammed but if you have a good room with other friendly folks, its not bad! Lockers in the... More

Space inside hostel is limited so corridors are cramped, tiny lift, busy reception desk, but rooms are decent size, fairly new decoration, clean, hairdriers in bathrooms, price was 250 rmb (25 GBpounds) for two people one night in family room. Has a kitchen, laundry area and tv room and small bar downstairs. Location is best feature, right next to shopping... More
