Right from the time you walk in you feel welcome at this hotel. It is attractive, clean, and the rooms are large. I like that they have an executive lounge. Breakfast was good, and snacks, and a glass of wine, in the evening is always nice. Definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for a convenient hotel in downtown Shanghai.

Compared to other hotels in the area (Huating, for instance), this Marriott has no impressive common areas, no impressive architecture. But furnitures in the rooms are very fine and quick check ins/out, large breakfast options, general atmosphere indicate a careful management. Room: I got an upgraded one, definitely large enough, with sofa, ameninites, glass-walls-bath, iron board -all you should pretend... More

Hotel has compact but well appointed rooms, with no wall between the bedroom and bathroom this makes for a more open and larger feel to the room. A pleasant stay in a good location within easy walking distance to large shopping malls and dinning areas...

I've stayed here for business twice and both experiences were very nice. The hotel itself seems very new, the rooms are nice and comfortable, the common areas are nice, the executive lounge is spacious and well staffed. The lifts are horrendously slow! Maybe this is cause every floor shows you the location of each lift (Typically just a ground floor... More

I had a very good stay at the hotel. The room was very comfortable. If you are not going to stay alone in your room, do check out the bathroom layout before you book though. The breakfast spread was amazing. Freshly squeezed juices, fresh fruit, continental, made-to-order eggs, made-to-order soup bowls, japanese, dim-sums, espresso, they had everything. The hotel is... Pros: *Executive lounge serving breakfast and dinner with open bar *Free wifi throughout the building *Reasonably priced *Clean rooms and maintained nicely *Unlike other hotels in China, the whole place does not smell like smoke *Nice gym, though it did get awfully crowded in the mornings *Working air conditioning *TV stations in English (even though HBO & Cinemax have Chinese... Courtyard Xujiahui was renovated a few years back (I used to live very near by). I have stayed there as a guest twice, and both times have been very pleasent. It is not a luxurious hotel, but it is by all standards very nice, clean, modern and well-working hotel. And from my perspective the value for money in Shanghai-range is... More

The hotel is convenient located, close to the business and shopping district. The hotel is well kept and clean. Service is friendly. I was also surprised to discover their food is quite decent and has shanghai flavor dish choice. One drawback is that taxi is slow to come by but not a big issue if you are not in a... More

Nice, clean but odd room (shower is separated form the room just with glass wall). Good breakfast, free Wi-Fi in the room and lobby. Not very attractive construction side behing the window.

This hotel is a 45-50 minute drive from Pudong International Airport and is situated quite near to the new business district. The hotel by itself has staff that are quite courteous and helpful. The corporate rates are quite a steal considering what I have to shell out at other places. However, the size of rooms do take a beating because... More
