Stayed here for 2 nights and found it very pleasant. The room was lovely, the bed and linens excellent and the location convenient. Staff friendly, well-trained and helpful, with better English than other hotels we visited in China. We are a party of 6 older travellers and recently 'found' the Ambassador Hotel and stayed overnight during a brief time in Shanghai. It is within 1 min of the Bund and was built in the early 1900's as the headquarters of the Citibank. It is clean with modern en suite facilities - rather creaky floors as they are wood.... More
