We most enjoy the clean rooms and big variety for breakfast. Staff are very helpful especially housekeeping! they were most helpful to arrange for connecting rooms so our kids could just run over in a few steps :)

I went to Shanghai with such trepidation after reading all the reviews here on TripAdvisor. Rest assured, this hotel is not nearly as bad as advertised.
The Lexington Plaza is large and non-descript. This hotel could be anywhere in the world, NYC, DC, Berlin. It's a big western chain, period, and that fact lends itself to non-descript character and impersonal...

Rooms small twin room consisted of double and fold up bed. Staff had no clue of how to run a hotel.
Breakfast was so self service you had to clear a table of dirty dishes before you could even think about getting breakfast then had to wait about 20 min,s for any tea/coffee to arrive.
Had to constantly ask for...

I visited Shanghai last November for the World Expo and stayed at the Lexington Plaza unfortunately. I have to say it was the worst experience in my whole life. Poor surroundings and service. I paid for a five star hotel but the reality was a trap! Never trust so called Chinese 5 star hotels. Poor service, poor food, but perfect...

Stayed at the hotel for two nights in this November and I have not much good things to say. The hotel is very new but not that easy to find. It took some time to find the gate. Good hotel facilities, but rooms are too small. Most of the staff are okay but the bellboy is very cold and not...

The Lexington Plaza Mingde hotel is the 3rd hotel i've ever stayed in Shanghai.
I'm worried it will be too far away from the city center, however i found it's still acceptable.
I suggest someone knows Chinese or will travel to the city center intensively or use subway could stay here.
It's the lowest price in the package list from...

I stayed at the Lexington Plaza Shanghai Mingde for four nights in September 2010.
The plus for this hotel is that it is one block from a metro station (Zhongxing Road). Still, you may pass this modern hi-rise hotel a few times before finding it because there is no sign at street level and the entrance is behind the building....

Was in Shanghai with a small group at the end of a panda volunteering trip. We managed to arrive in Shanghai at the beginning of the 7 day National Holiday and the city was even more crowded than usual. The Lexington Plaza hotel was a bit out from downtown and therefore more quiet. The hotel is in a business neighborhood--not...

This his a 5 star hotel in a terrible location in Shanghai. If you don't mind taking a taxi or subway to get to everywhere, this hotel may be for you. The restaurants in the hotel are very expensive with poor service. Around the area, there is nothing to eat within walking distance, so plan your meals accordingly.
Generally the...
