Stayed at IBIS Lianyang recently when visiting a trade show at SNICEC. Hotel location is perfect! only 10 minutes by taxi to venue! It takes less than 8 minutes to nearest Metro station from which you cango anywhere in Shanghai!

Stayed at IBIS Lianyang recently when visiting a trade show at SNICEC. Hotel location is perfect! only 10 minutes by taxi to venue! It takes less than 8 minutes to nearest Metro station from which you cango anywhere in Shanghai!
Normally you know what you are going to get with an Ibis, but this one is the worst I have stayed in.
The location is fairly good for the Exhibition Halls, there is a small entertainment district over the road.

IBIS is one of the hotels I frequent whenever I want a short stay. The pricing, facilities and cleanliness is acceptable. But the towels they provide are always hanging in the glass shower door. * near SNIEC
Cons :
* subway station is not walking distance
* first room got a broken TV (not working for 2 days), when asked to repair, they said it has been repaired. fortunately other room is available...

Good location, value for money, near shops and restaurants. Rooms are fine, however, there was no hot water, and the heating did not work and it is Winter time in Shanghai? Needs more management supervision and training.
What to expect from Ibis- the simplest of the simple lodging solution!
This hotel was good, nothing to complain about. Stayed 15 days here. Room is small, towels were close to average, hotel is clean, and the price was great.
