The Royal is a funky, rambling, old hotel - a real classic. The rooms are pretty basic, as is the service, but you just don't find throw back spots like this much any more. The prices are great, so you really can't expect much on the swank side. I'd definitely recommend this place and Levuka just for the experience.

Levuka is wonderfully rich in history with so many friendly and helpful people. The Royal Hotel is a real throw back to another age and full of interesting objects and stories but with a modern internet cafe nevertheless!
