As our Princess cruise got closer to the secluded island of Dravuni we learned from a crew member that Waisalima Dive Centre may be able to arrange a dive tour of the Astrolabe reef. A mere 24 hours prior to our arrival, we emailed Wasalima and they arranged to pick us (a group of 4 divers) up at the tender... More

As regular visitors to Kadavu, we always choose to come back to Waisalima. Waisalima has become our escape from the reality of everyday life and an outlet to kick back and enjoy what nature has to offer. We have been fortunate enough to visit Waisalima during different months of the year and experience all different weather and needless to say... More

A 50 minute flight from Nadi on a small plane. Good views of the reefs on landing. About an hour trip in a small open boat along the coast to the resort. This was bumpy and wet when it rained on the way back. (even though we had rain coats we were sopping wet) The resort is a row of... More

We stayed at Waisalima for five days during our honeymoon in July 2011. We arrived on Kadavu and waited close to two hours for someone from the resort to come and pick us up, the airport was actually closing up and they were waiting for us to leave! After the bumpy boat ride (which couldn't be helped, the boatman was... More

These guests stayed for all nights they paid for (4 actually, not 5), they received all the services, did all the dives they'd paid for and received all meals and their return boat transfers. Why should they be given a refund? They could have left at any stage and been provided with a refund for the nights not stayed and... More

If you enjoy switching off your phone and your internet connection and want to go back to the basic joys of life, this is the place to go! We and our 11year old son loved to stay in a basic but beautiful bure. You can hear the wind and the ocean at night. You see the sun coming up between... More

My husband and I arranged for a trip to Fiji for February around our snowy winters in Minnesota, USA and fantastic summer and fishing in Fiji. We arrived in Nadi, Fiji and spent one day there visiting the Dunaru Golf Course - highly recommended, the city center in Nadi and the Mercure Hotel. Sunday we flew in a small plane... More

Upgraded and improved, but still remote and a good place to go for diving and relaxing. New ownership - no longer run by nor owned by the person who previously gave it a bad name in other posts. Enjoy it for what it is and you won't be sorry.

We stayed at Waisalima in December 2010 and loved it! Price was a big factor in our initial decision to chose Waisalima over the other four or five resorts on Kadavu and Ono... we were offered a great rate for an extended stay, and as budget travelers who didn't want a big box resort experience on the main island, it... I agree with the other recent reviews on Waisilima. We flew in and out. May have gone back by ferry via Suva if we had had time and knew the return ferry is only 5.5 hours, but then, that would have taken away our time at Waisilima. In a word, fantastic! We bought a 5- day package and ended up... More

My husband and I spent 5 weeks in Fiji in Nov/Dec 2010. Although Kadavu was on our agenda, we didn't know when we'd go during our stay and didn't have anything arranged before we left Canada. It's more remote than many of the other islands and it wouldn't be all that easy to show up and look for accommodation. Knowing... More
