Due to road conditions from bad weather, I decided to use this location. I entered the motel to find no one in the office. The employee was watching TV in a "breakfast area". I requested a specific room on the first floor the day before arrival, upon check in I was "placed" on the third floor next to the elevator.... More

My husband and I stayed here on our way back from our wedding in Texas. We checked in after midnight where we were greeted by an annoyed front desk clerk. He had told us that he was in the middle of an audit and would need to make a copy of my driver's license and my credit card. The room... More

I stayed at the Hampton Inn recently for three nights. Although it was clean, it was a below average experience for me and bordered somewhere between terrible and poor. I rounded up because at least it was clean and quiet. The hotel was pretty worn -- the ceiling of my room looked like a patchwork quilt because of many sheetrock... More

Was on business 12/5-12/6/11 in the Mobile area. I found the location convenient to I65 into Mobile. Happy hour was nice and above the normal experience. The property was worn in places. My security lock was missing one of the screws with another (of the 3) about to completely come out. As another review mentioned, I could smell smoke in... More

Good service and a nice happy hour that I have never seen at a Hampton. My room smelled really smokey when I first arrived but it went away after a while. I think it was because my room was right next to the maids room and maybe they took smoke breaks there. They also made a lot of noise in... More

I stayed on business on 8/3/2011. It was ~ 100F outside with mega humidity. The room A/C did a decent job keeping up. It got into the mid 70s by bed time. The room was standard Hampton Inn. Not great, but not bad. The internet worked well. The room was quite clean. Breakfast was the usual, but was well stocked.... More

We were visiting this area as a family group to attend a funeral, we had 4 rooms. The service was excellent, the rooms large, clean and very comfortable. Beds were extra nice and comfy, bathroom very spacious. I liked it that the bathroom sink and all was separate and could be closed off from the other part of the room.... More

Stayed here for a business trip in June. My room was clean and the staff were courteous. There aren't many good places to eat nearby (other than the Wintzell's Oyster House on the other side of the highway), but the location is VERY convenient to the highway.

Pros: Friendly and helpful front desk employees; good breakfast; quiet rooms Cons: The free in-room Internet access was slow in the evenings; carpet in room did not pass the white sock test Overall, I would recommend this hotel. It is convenient to Mobile without having to actually stay in the city. There is a Wintzell's Oyster House less than a... More

(FYI: My personal 'pickiest factor'=7of10) This is a typical & solid Hampton Inn. Highs: friendly staff, updated interior, waffle brskfst, Hamp's beds, solid wired internet service, parking, access to I-65, etc. Lows: AC/Heat units need update, RubyTuesday is about your only 'typical chain' dinner option nearby (& I always seem to have poor luck with RbyTues. Maybe other gems I... More
