The owner/innkeeper and manager are very friendly and passionate about this historical renovation adjacent to downtown Mobile. The location is fantastic, being within walking distance of Downtown Mobile and also very close to the tunnel to the Eastern Shore. One can tell this was a very expensive and recent redevelopment from the exterior finishes to the interiors, which have flat... More

Lovely historical home tucked away in a quiet little pocket of Mobile with easy access to the Interstate. The room was immaculately clean and the breakfast was delicious.

Spent two days enjoying the sites in Mobile and had a wonderful place to stay. We were upgraded to the Margaret suite since our room was not ready where we got there. The suite was two rooms, one for the bed and an equal sized room for the bath which had a large walk in shower and a wonderfully comfortable... More

Excellent roooms with fabulous beds, but the service is the reason to stay there. Wife and I visited for our anniversary. The manager put together a bottle of wine and an ice bucket on short notice and then called for reservations at an outstanding Mobile restaurant (NoJa) and kept following up until they were confirmed. Walking distance to downtown and... More

It's a lovely place - good service, breakfasts, etc. as many others mention. The location is superb for Mardi Gras - far enough that's it's not too noisy, but close enough so that you could walk within 3 minutes to the parades (in fact we'd just wait to hear the crowds roar and quickly walk out to catch the parades).... But this review isn't about the bowl game... My wife and I decided to stay close to downtown while in Mobile for the bowl game. Instead of staying at a hotel we thought we'd try a BnB in the area and settled on Fort Conde after reviewing the web and other reviews. This BnB is really, really nice! We had... More

Forte Conde Inn is an incredibly wonderful B&B. Alan, the onsite manager, phoned us on the road to confirm our arrival and see if we needed anything upon arrival. The Inn has been beautifully restored. The Rachel Luxury room was lovely, with its luxurious bed, and big whirlpool bath. Jeremy Weaver, executive chef, presented three wonderful breakfast offerings. The Banana Foster... More

The lovely historic house(s) and grounds were a pleasure. The personalized service by the chef and the other staff was wonderful. They were very gracious also. The bed was the best I've slept in outside my own! The large hdtv and wireless as well as refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker in the room were great. I loved the robe too!... More

The Fort Conde Inn is more a "boutique hotel" than the usual B&B. The facilities are lovely, but what really distinguishes the Inn is the personal touch a guest receives, such as breakfast selections prepared by the on-site chef and attention to personal preferences - one of my fellow travelers requested that the decorative pillows not be replaced on her... Fort Conde Inn is an absolutely gorgeous location in downtown Mobile. This historic home has been beautifully restored and is even more stunning in person than the photos. We celebrated a Birthday luncheon at the Inn and Alan and Ginny were so helpful in planning and making us feel welcome. I highly recommend Fort Conde Inn for the service as... More
