We stayed at the Renaissance for one night while on the way to Destin. Great location...right on the water. Beautiful hotel, quiet, clean and the rooms were very nice. It's right across the street from the Exploreum and IMAX and about 5 minutes from the USS Alabama. more

Got to experience the 28th floor of this hotel. I just don't like heights. The room was decorated very nicely and the bed was veeeeeerrrry comfortable. There was some construction and clean up in the hallway but that did not bother us. All in all it was a nice stay. more

came back here for another week. staff was professional, security was very accomodating as were the valet guys (i don't use them). hotel was immaculate as were the rooms. i always get the corner king suite and this time i was on the side opposite the cruise terminal. the area is not as busy due to the economy but still... more

This is a really sharp hotel. However, the only swimming pool (located on the 4th floor) is about like a small residential pool. Also, the guest room bathroom was small (although very nice). The rooms and views are spectacular. more

The corner rooms are very nice with lots of windows and space. The main reason for the low rating is that the Internet connection was non-existent. The best sleep ever, despite being right on the river front where the train depot is. Great view from a king suite. Nice linens. Highly recommend the river view unless you're a light sleeper. We stayed here for Bay Fest because it is within walking distance of the concerts. The hotel was extremely nice but the price had been jacked way up because of the event. It was not worth the extremely high price. I would stay here again if the price were lower. Very nice rooms. more

We always stay at the Riverview during Mardi Gras and this year was another good experience. I was glad to see that they have keep the hotel in good shape since its 2007 remodeling. It still seemed very clean and well kept, which is a challenge considering all of the party goers who are in and out throughout the weekend.... more
