We stayed at cuba's serviced apartments early January 2012. We have visited the Patnem, palolem area many times before as we used to live in India. This was the first time we had travelled there with our 18 month old son, so we compromised on location - rather than staying in the beach huts,we thought it would be easier having a bit more space and a kitchen, fridge etc. The apartments are located a good 5 minute walk along the main road from the shops and restaurants at Patnem beach. The apartment itself was clean, simply furnished and was a good base for us as we did not spend much time there during the day. The bedroom wasn't that big but with a bit of furniture moving there was room for our double bed and a travel cot. I wouldn't say by any means they were luxurious as the website suggests but more comfortable than some of the other beach we have stayed in. At 4500 rupees per night it is not cheap but reflects the increasing popularity and expense in travelling in India today...
