We were there in September, 2011 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner was very personable and a great chef! Our room was very clean and the hotel has a very open atmosphere. It's a beautiful old place with a lot of personality. We highly recommend it!

The new owners are doing a great job in renovating the hotel! It's so cozy and the breakfast was wonderful this morning. Very nice staff that will help you find the local shops and restaurants to tour. Definitely go up there during the Christmas season!

The cost of the night's stay did not equal the value offered. The "suite" (essentially a room) was small, and the housekeeping was not done until after 5PM. The surrounding "restaurants" did not match the reviews they were given. While hiking in the region was wonderful, the amenities offered were not. Not to do again.

My husband and I needed to get away for a while so we decided to try Mentone Springs Hotel again since the new owners. Yes, very inviting, quite and very good food. Mary Rogers was wonderful and very down to earth. Bed was soft and we didn't want to get up. Excellent weekend getaway.
