As a grumpy middleaged Yorkshireman, I rarely get enthusiastic about my hotels, but here is a rare exception. Blue Heaven has only recently opened, but has hit the ground running. Without exception the staff are all very pleasant and very helpful. You just have to ask about booking a train journey or hire car and they will do it for you without fuss - and no fee loading either. The groundfloor restaurant has a wide variety of dishes - Indian and international and all are good value for money and prepared extremely well - having a chef who has experience of running a 5 star hotel kitchen in London might be of relevance! The rooftop restaurant has yet to open, but should be quite a feature once it does.
The hotel is a new build and as such has been designed to appeal to the international visitor. Bedrooms (about 25 in total) are quite large and well appointed and have a good size ensuite bathroom. Cleanliness is up to good European standards - not always the case in...
