After a long and tiring trip through India, my husband and I decided to splurge on a nice hotel in Mumbai before flying home. I'm so glad that we chose Hotel Apollo. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the location (in the Colaba neighborhood) is close to most of the tourist sights, with great restaurants and shopping near by.... More

i stayed at the Apollo in Colaba for 3 nights. Great location as it is situated on the main shopping street in Colaba. A 2 mins walk to the Gateway of India, Taj Hotel and Leopold Cafe. Rooms are clean and linen changed daily. the bathrooms are clean however very small. the breakfast was a problem, as it is mainly... More

Centrally located, clean, modern, efficiently run, expensive. However, if you want to be a block away from the Gateway to India, boats to Elephanta Island, the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, and the myriad number of tourist attractions/museums/etc. in downtown Mumbai then this is the spot to stay and this is the price you have to pay.

We thought we were going to another "Apollo" Hotel but ended up booking here by accident. Fortunately it was only for one night. The location is good but the service and noise from the club is bad, especially for the price.

If you want to save some money and enjoy a better price/quality hotel, i suggest you go to the hotels directly next to the Taj Mahal Palace on the beach. First of all, you have better view there. Second, the Apollo is too epensive for what they offer. Rooms are not clean, everything outdated, not worth the price whatsoever. Staff... More

We spend 2nights at the beginning of my first trip to India and 4nights before we left India. The first time round we checked in at 2am and everything was quick and easy but the room given to us was on first floor next to staff quarters which was very smelly outside the room. It did not bother me too... More

if you have met the rudest people on the planet, come meet the ones at reception of Apollo and you shall forgive all the rest. Rudeness: None on this planet can beat those at the reception on this ultimate quality of being obscenely rude. Room: Room ends even before it starts. View out side the window: Most intricately designed bird... More

This hotel is in THE PERFECT location of Mumbai...at Colaba. Hotel Taj is 50 meters away and Gateway of India is another 20 meters. Famous Regal cinema is just 10 steps away. Just WOW location. Very good area for shopping and see Bollywood celebrities at nearby Colaba market for bargain shopping. Hotel rooms are average for the price. This hotel... More

I'll try and keep this short and objectively contained. Cleanliness - stains on the bedsheet, bathroom seemed to be not cleaned for decades, curtains full of dust. Politeness - Staff generally helpful, the suits...not so much. Food - Better tasting food can be found on one of the many stalls outside the hotel...haven't fallen ill yet. Noise - Even though... The Hotel offers basic amenities. Food is okay for filling up the stomach. Room rates are steep as compared to the service. Lobby is excellent but rooms are not so big. Toilets are very small
