we booked this hotel , even after reading average reviews.... The service is horrid, the place is dead, there is this damp smell coming from the bed linen. the bathrooms need to be renovated....the food is OK..nothing great....it was a great let down....def. not a heritage holiday trip...need of maintenence and cheer.

The building, the gardens, the view, the palace in general is beautiful but inside nothing works as a real royal hotel. The room was dirty, even the bed linen.
