Thank you Lawrence for the great feedback. It was lovely to meet you. The temperature has increased as we're now in the Summer with the occasional storm. Everything has quietened down as we're out of the main season but still new guests are arriving. I hope we meet again, my best wishes and happy travelling, Stephen More

I have to agree with the other reviews, a very warm and welcoming place! We (with our 3 kids of 1, 2.5 and 4 year old) stayed with Stephen for 2 nights. As soon as we arrived it seemed like we had known him for years and he wasn't deterred by the kids, instead he was in there reading stories... More

Thank you for coming to stay. I had a great time meeting your whole family and the kids were, of course, the real stars! I love the different dynamics that are created with the changing guests and your three brought a completely new fun aspect to the place. As you were my first young family to stay I was concerned... Stephen literally has you stay in his home. All meals are included. When he's overbooked, he'll first move out of his room to make space for guests, or alternately will refer people to a friend's place. Manjula keeps the entire house "barefoot clean," her meals are delicious and they have the nicest shower room I used in India. Strange thing... More

Hi Steven, thank you for a grand review. I really enjoyed meeting you and sharing some of our experiences including those in the crazy corporate world. Maybe I'll begin listing the bathroom as a key feature..... No seriously don't want to raise expectations ;-). But I do agree and personally prefer the bucket bath. Our current guest is also from... Fantastic, clean and comfortable place to stay with a great host. Stephen has a great knowledge of the area and is extremely helpful. We had a wonderful bike ride, which made our stay memorable. Definitely the best place to stay.

I can't believe how time is moving on..... It's been a fantastic first season. I've met such a lovely set of people. The feedback like yours about mycycle that we've also started, convince me that we've made the right decision to launch and expand the tours. In the next few months we'll base cycles at Srirangapatnam. It's much more rural... More

Never done a B&B or Homestay before though have visited India many times. We met Stephen by chance in a pub in our home town of Halifax, West Yorkshire and discovered a mutual interest of cycling. Two months later we had made arrangements to visit from our holiday base in Goa. We arrived for a brief three day stay which... More

I hadn't realised you were India BnB virgins. I'm glad we were the first. The cycle 'lesson' was a dream. I'm still getting stopped in the street by students asking for more or 'what about my year'? It's currently school holidays so I'll look at delivering something on those lines later in the year, unless of course you can get... More

I'm not going to wax poetic about how lovely a stay we had while we were here, because everyone else has already done so, and I can only agree with them. We had only planned to stay for a night - or maybe two - and ended up staying for four; Steve, Manjula, and Vasanth all made our stay a... More

I especially like it here when a few people stay, get on well and create a buz. You helped create that great feel while you were here. It's exactly what I wanted to create and with enough space so that guests can either be part or be somewhere quiet. I must say though, demand is such we may have to... More

I had an amazing time in Mysore thanks to Stephen, Manjula & Vasanth. Once you enter the place, you already feel like home with the nice music, Lucy - the friendliest dog, delicious chai of Manjula & the great atmosphere. They are great hosts, they took you to really nice places in & around Mysore and you learn a lot!... More

Great hosts - Stephen and the beautiful house keeper Mandula who cooks amazing food and keeps the place spotless. Lovely dog Lucy. Stephen can arrange bike and walking tours and all sorts. He took us on a bike tour of Mysore (not as scary as it sounds!) which was a great way to fit in seeing all the sights. We... More

We stayed four nights here and were made extremely welcome. It was great to have an English host for a change, particularly one who spoke the same UK dialect, and we very much appreciated being invited to share Steve's table for meals on several occasions, enjoying Manjula's fantastic cooking and having a chin-wag until late into the night! When Manjula... More

Hey up. Thanks --- for visiting, ---some really good conversations and a great review. I've really enjoyed this first season, getting to meet and know such a diverse range of people. But as you say it's also really nice catching up with people from back home, who speak the lingo ;-) I expect it to begin to quiten down soon... More

During my travel to India I stayed in a homestays, hostels, b&bs and at my friends. I must admit that staying at Stephen's home was at the same level of hospitability as staying at my friends! Hey, it was great to get to know you even though it was short, you fitted so much in.. We now feature the inlay artists on the extended cycle tour and are planning more interaction with local people and artists later this year in both our cycle And walking tours.
