We arrived in Shimla at around 5:30pm on the Himalayan Queen. The guy organising taxi’s at the train station said a taxi could only go half way to the hotel, we would have to walk the rest. We actually reached hotel Amber based on our cab drivers recommendation. We had booked our stay at another hotel, but due to some error from their side, the room was not available when we reached there and we could not wait. But we had no regrets. very good transport connectivity around 1 km far away from the railway station and closer to bus stand , hotel was located in the ram market, good hotel room was clean and good service part. room service is good bt food was just average.
