“Budget Hotel. Good for 1/2 night stay”

We stayed in "Shivam International" not in "Shivam Palace". Do not confuse. Rickshaw puller always try to take in Shivam Palace whose position is behind a temple. Shivam International is near Shivam Palace but in a quiet place.

It is good budget hotel. Service is satisfactorily. Clean kitchen (on roof top) with standard food. You can ask the young manager for car booking. He is helpful.

Room is small. In some rooms one extra "sofa/couch" is given. One Window which is almost closed.

Bathroom is so so. Mind it these type of hotels near Pahar Ganj is for 1/2 night halt only. Do not expect much. More

Pahargunj is the worst place to stay in delhi. Its crowed, polluted, noisy, cramped, old and full of people who cheat travellers. We stayed at Hotel Shivam Palace situated next to Bankebehari temple. The person who named the hotel, did not know the meaning of a hotel and palace. It is a 4 storied building cramped between two old buildings. It has 10 feet wide road in front of it which is named as sangtrashan gali. The neighbouring building has a laxmi narayan temple on the ground floor and it has a loud speaker. The puja and prayer start everyday at 05:45 am and continue up to 07:00 am with the loud speakers on. It is impossible for the guests in shivam palace to sleep in the early morning. If you want to compensate your sleep by taking an afternoon nap....beware!! There is a puja ritual in the afternoon as well with the loud speakers on. I never stayed in the hotel in the evening, so I dont know if there is any Sandhya aarti or not. We stayed in room 205 and 305. None of the rooms... More
