A very disappointing experience! the place is recommended by Lonely Planet, but our experience really did not correspond to the description. The place is very run down, and it is VERY overpriced.

We were happy staying for three nights. We took our meals at Sweet Corner among the locals, fine. Nice staff. We felt very safe there. Maybe a little expensive, but Delhi is that apparently.

Really overpriced room, even to Delhi standards. We paid 4000 rupees for a double, which made it our most expensive stay during all of our trip. I have stayed many times in this hotel through 2005 to 2007. The rooms are ill-kept, shabby and unclean. Most rooms are large but badly need renovation. The staff is untrained and indifferent. The menu is VERY limited but the cooking is good - which is the only redeeming feature of this place.

We chose this hotel on its proximity to the station and only stayed one night. It is fairly awful-our room was dingy,burn marks on the less than clean carpets and the staff were very off hand. Not to be recommended.

I stayed at this hotel four weeks in December 2007, one week alone, three with my family.
