This is a late review, we stayed here last 2009.
We were told that the standard of accommodation in India is usually below their rating...like this hotel, we were told that it's a 3-star hotel, but from the looks of it, i don't even think it will pass a 3-star hotel to the common standard. Since we were"warned" ahead, we didn't really make any fuss about it.
The front facade, lobby and restaurant is yes 3-star value, but the rooms are not. It's old and looks dirty. But in fairness, the linens seemed clean. I didn't like the bathroom, it looks like an abandoned space, and seriously, when we turned the taps on, it made a squeaky sound then unclear water came out first before it got clear! We just laughed about it.
However, staff are friendly and helpful. It is also close to the night market, so we were quite happy to go around nearby shops and did our first batch of shopping ;) More
