My son (22) and I (56) stayed the Baba Continental on 11, 12 and 13 June 2008. We do not recommend the hotel. Very run-down. We were walk-in's, so we took our chances. Air conditioning did not work in the room that was sold to us as being air-conditioned. When we complained the next morning and asked for a new room and a discount on the prior's nights room rate, we were refused. The "included" breakfast was INR 100 extra and could have been bought for much less from a nearby shop (and probably had been by the hotel). Power failed one night, so we listened to the loud generator the rest of the night. The towels were grey with use, stained and made us suspicious of their cleanliness. Sit-down toilet in bathroom but no toilet paper. Hot water only one of the nights we stayed. The internal house phone used by the staff rang loudly next to our room, seemingly incessantly, day and night.
We paid INR 1,400 for the first night and INR 1,300 for the second two nights. This...
