We stayed at La Loma for 4 nights and it was absolutely fabulous. Everyone on the property made you feel so welcome, like it was your home, yet still took the care and thought that is so prized for someone on vacation. Every morning at sunrise we had coffee and muffins waiting for us at the front door, and the... More

My husband and I stayed at La Loma in September 2010 - I am writing a delayed review because I just keep thinking about our stay! We were in the second cabin which was comfortable and had an amazing view. We enjoyed spotting all the teeny frogs outside the cabin. Our hosts were Karen and Steve as the owners were... More

Had a wonderful stay at beautiful La Loma- was very well looked after by Henry, Margaret and rest of the staff. A truly unique experience, fantastic food, good conversation and some beautiful scenery- the trips (to caves, beach, snorkelling, jungle and chocolate farm) were well organised and very good indeed. The Ranchos/Cabanas themselves were very comfortable and the food was... More

My husband and I stayed 4 nights at La Loma in late December as part of our honeymoon. We both absolutely LOVED the place and our stay and did not want to leave. I think what really makes the place is the people and staff. Henry and Margaret were away and we were hosted by their friends, Karen and Steve... More

Our family of four (2 kids aged 11 and 8) decided to go to Panama over Thanksgiving this year after having gone to Costa Rica 15 years ago before it got too touristy. We booked this placed on a whim and didn't really know too much about what to expect From the start, our experience was superior. Henry (the owner)... More

We spent two days at La Loma and had an amazing time. The food is world class. It's definitely a one of a kind experience and Henry and Margaret go out of their way to make sure everyone enjoys their stay. More

Even though we were visited La Loma almost a year ago, the memories of our fantastic stay are still clear. We had such a wonderful time exploring the wonders of Bastimentos, which were made all the more special by the hospitality and warmth of Henry and Margaret and their staff. I can't wait to go back. They say a pictures... More

I came to La Loma in late September and stayed 2 nights. I was dreaming of the chocolate farm for 2 months, but what I had experienced surpassed every though and dream I had ever conceived of the La Loma. The host and owners, Henry and Margaret didn't leave any detail unnoticed. From the preparation of the food which is... More

My girlfriend and I spent 3 nights at La Loma last week, and had an incredible experience there. When our boat pulled up to their dock, it felt a bit like entering fantasy island. We were welcomed with iced lemongrass tea (grown on the property, as was most of the food we would eat over the next few days) and... More

I can't believe I waited 6 months to review La Loma, but honestly I'm still in mourning that this trip is over and I miss it all the time. Henry and Margaret are lovely (their son is SO cute!), and as complicated as it must be to run a place like this, they make it seem easy. Their staff is... More
