Sarith, the patriarch of the family is incredibly accommodating, kind and honest. His wife is the same and the people who he has helping him do a great job. Spotless clean rooms, excellent food and a friendly husband and wife interested and willing to help, share knowledge etc. The wife showed our daugther several ways to wear a saree. Breakfast and dinners were at shared tables with other tourists - a very good idea. Would very much like to come back.

We stayed here just one night after a bad experience elsewhere in town (see my other reviews). The family that owns the place are extremely friendly and open. We loved our time in Kandy in the freedom lodge. Sarath and Nalini take a good care of their guests. Same as thier friend Pio who can work as a driver to bring you everywhere you want.
