We were lucky enough to spend 5 nights in Jungle Tide at the end of March. The bungalow is beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The setting is absolutely perfect set amongst the tea plantations and the garden is stunning, full of birds and other wildlife. We really enjoyed sitting outside and watching the monkeys in the trees and also just... More

We were so lucky to spend several days at Jungle Tide in February. Sally & Jerry are excellent hosts with fantastic knowledge of everything Sri Lankan. Martin & Rani's skills are accurately documented in many other reviews and deservedly so. Jungle Tide is a tranquil retreat up in the hills with stunning mountain views, birdlife and a warm Sri Lankan... More

I just spent a week in jungle tide (18-23th feb, 2013) in my first visit in Sri Lanka. It is such a lovely place for relaxing and walking around the tea plantations and villages. The house is beautifully built equipped with modern facilities, very clean and comfortable. There is a local village bakery 5minutes from the house, oven reminds of... More

My husband and I and his brother and wife spent a wonderful ten days at Jungle Tide last September. We got lots of tips, hints and information from Sally and Jerry before we left which was so useful. They recommended a car hire company and driver, which made it so much easier for us when we arrived, all organised. Jungle... More

Yes, it does take 45 minutes to get there from Kandy and yes, the last few kilometres are pretty bad, but then this means you are right in the heart of traditional Sri Lanka, away from the crowded and noisy streets of the town. You can sit on the terrasse looking out over a beautiful mountain range and tea plantations,... More

Went to Jungle Tide in March 2012 with the boyfriend. We had an excellent time. It is a truly peaceful and relaxing place. The air is clean and the views are lovely. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Martin and Rani are extremely helpful and accommodating. Martin helped us arrange our travels/tours in the surrounding area, and Rani cooked us... More

We visited jungle tide in August this year and had a very memorable stay. The food was the best we had in the whole of Sri Lanka cooked by Rani and both Martin and rani were very kind and hospitable. The rooms and living space were clean and confortable. We can't deny that the trip to /from Kandy was a... More

I spent 5 wonderful days in Jungle Tide. Was a little taken aback by reading the other reviews regarding the road getting there... I thought it was a great ride each time, with so much nature and village life all along it. It is a 4km piece of road with no tarmac therefore with wholes and such, like I guess... More

We have just had the most wonderful holiday at Jungle Tide. We spent our days lazing about on the verandah watching the lovely birds and other wildlife for hours. We saw the resident mongoose every day, hundreds of chinchillas racing about playing and even monkeys on a neighbouring roof. The swimming pool was lush and walking around the extensive grounds... Was a pleasant surprise for me as I stepped into Jungle tide. I felt it was made for me :) I travelled alone and wanted a place away from all noise to relax and be refreshed. I can't exactly express what all I wanted, but Jungle Tide is what I wanted. I don't care having 4 km bad roads... That... More
